Loopio Brings On First CFO and Senior VP of Software Development
TORONTO, March 28, 2022—Loopio, the leader in RFP software, announced today that Stephanie Ratza has joined as the company as their first Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Bobbi Alexandrova as the first Senior Vice President (SVP) of Software Development.
These leaders join Loopio during a period of immense growth for the Toronto-based company, which was founded in 2014. Over the past three years, Loopio has grown by 475% and recently received a strategic investment of $200 million (USD) from Sumeru Equity Partners and Affiliates (SEP).
“I’m excited to see what we’ll achieve with Stephanie and Bobbi joining Loopio’s senior leadership team,” says Zak Hemraj, CEO and Co-founder of Loopio. “Both leaders have experience scaling fast-growing businesses in their respective areas, which will significantly impact Loopio’s next stage of growth.”
Ratza comes to Loopio with 23 years of senior leadership experience, most recently serving as CFO of Clearpath Robotics, an autonomous mobile robotics company. Working with both public and private companies, she has a wealth of knowledge around scaling software as a service (SaaS) companies. Previously, Ratza served as a technology executive at Descartes Systems Group and Quisitive. She’s also held senior finance roles at MKS Inc. and Open Text. Additionally, Ratza currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Center of Excellence in Next Generation Networks (CENGN) and the Board of Trustees at St. Mary’s General Hospital.
“I saw this shine through every interaction I had with the team,” Ratza continues. “The representation of women in leadership (55%) speaks volumes. They truly care about the culture and their people.”
To support the company’s rapid advancement, another area of growth is Loopio’s engineering, product, and design (EPD) team. Throughout 2022, the number of employees on Loopio’s EPD team will increase by 60%—a driving factor behind the importance of Alexandrova’s role.
Alexandrova, a former technology leader at Xplor and Domo, has worked in the software industry for 24 years, serving both small and large organizations alike. She is also a tech advisor and angel investor for Virtual Athletics League (VAL), which helps her keep a pulse on technology trends in a fast-paced startup environment.
“Growing teams in a healthy fashion while delivering high-quality products is a problem I love solving,” Alexandrova explains. “I am passionate about setting a clear technology vision and implementing repeatable, efficient processes, as the foundation for creating products that delight customers.”
Bobbi will lead the company’s software development strategy, focusing on engineering excellence and machine learning to accelerate innovative platform functionality like Response Intelligence. She will work closely with SVP of Product, Justin Dilley, and Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder, Matt York.
“One of the many reasons why we’re excited to work with Bobbi is her strong leadership principles,” explains York. “She’s been in software development since 1998 and has worked on very technical, data-driven projects. But she also has an MBA and broad experiences across many different stages of companies. She really understands how to connect that business-thinking to her company’s growth.”
Welcoming Alexandrova and Ratza will help Loopio continue to evolve its response technology, which is used by 1,000+ world-leading companies to streamline their RFP response process, including DocuSign, Siemens, and McGraw Hill.
